GARP Sessions, Turkey 2022
In Summer 2022, David Horvitz invited me to an artist residency in Turkey with his family. At first I thought he was inviting me as the babysitter when he offered to pay for the cost of my meals for as long as I wanted to stay.
Then I was awarded a research grant and my advisor offered to cover the cost of my airfare to present my Summer Research Fellowship work in Istanbul.

The kids took care of themselves and didn’t need much babysitting.
And the cost of my meals ended up being only less than $135 for the whole trip.
